Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has been delayed for a second time, and is now expected to launch “beyond early 2026.”

In a statement on social media, Skydance Games said that to “fully realise [its] vision” for the game, its release window needed to be moved.

“Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is an ambitious project, and we are committed to ensuring it meets the level of quality that our team, players, and fans expect,” it said.

“We’re grateful for the passion and support from the community and players around the world. The team is working hard to create something truly special, and we look forward to sharing more with you as development progresses.”

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra was originally announced back in 2021, when former Uncharted creative director Amy Hennig joined forces with Skydance to work on a then-untitled Marvel project.

The game was teased in 2022 before being revealed during Epic’s State of Unreal event at GDC 2024.

Skydance announced it had partnered with Plaion to publish the game, which was originally set for release some time in 2025.

The developer then pushed the release date to early 2026 to “add more polish” and to make sure the title “lives up to [its] vision.”
