Samsung has launched a new portable display that can be pushed around on a rollable stand or carried like a giant tablet. The $1,199.99 Movingstyle is a 27-inch touchscreen display that features a battery life of up to three hours, allowing you to stream content or show workplace presentations without being tied to a power source.

The wheeled floorstand includes a height-adjustable arm that can swivel the Movingstyle between landscape and portrait modes, and charges the display when plugged into an outlet. Users can detach the screen from its stand via a sliding button on the back, and carry it around like a briefcase using the built-in handle.

That handle also doubles as an adjustable kickstand that can be used to position the Movingstyle on flat surfaces like an artist’s easel, but only in a landscape orientation. Weighing almost 12 pounds without the stand, this won’t be easy for everyone to lug around, but it’s portable enough for users who want to watch movies in their yard or move it between rooms.

The display resolution is 2560 x 1440p, with a 120Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10 Plus and Dolby Atmos audio. The Movingstyle comes with Samsung TV Plus, allowing it to be used like a traditional TV, and Samsung Gaming Hub, which can be used to stream games via Xbox, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Amazon Luna without connecting it to a console. Content can also be streamed via WiFi connectivity, and it supports Bluetooth for linking the Movingstyle to portable speakers or wireless sound systems.

There are ports for two USB-Cs and an HDMI on the back of the screen. Users can navigate the display interface using touchscreen gestures, a remote control it ships with, or via voice commands using Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant.

Samsung is also launching a 32-inch 4K Movingstyle model that can’t be removed from its rollable stand. The $699.99 Movingstyle M7 Smart Monitor is remarkably similar to the Moving Style Edge display that Samsung launched in Korea earlier this year, though that model was available in Standard and Lite configurations.
