Google Play has unveiled its Best Of lists for 2025, with Pokémon TCG Pocket, Candy Crush Solitaire, Disco Elysium, and Dredge all getting recognition in the year-end Best Games of 2025 awards.
The awards were a little more streamlined this year, with Google dropping the Best Multi-Device and Best for Families categories.
“We felt Pokémon TCG Pocket went above and beyond, delivering an authentic version of the physical card game, while retaining the joy of collecting cards. From flipping coins to tearing open booster packs, its well-designed effects add palpable weight and texture for a vividly tactile experience that brings the whole experience to life,” Google said, rating it the best game of 2025.
“Pokémon TCG Pocket takes full advantage of its digital format to deliver a highly accessible and enhanced experience that brings the card game to a new era in its own history – and for that gargantuan undertaking, it takes Best Game of 2025.”
