Arc Raiders was the best-selling game across all platforms over the holiday period.
According to data from Video Game Insights, Embark Studios’ extraction shooter sold more than four million copies across Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox last month.
As for Steam specifically, data from Alinea Analytics estimates the game secured another 1.2 million copies between December 21, 2025 and January 5, 2026.
Overall, Arc Raiders has sold over seven million copies on Steam since its launch on October 30.
Embark’s parent company Nexon has since confirmed the game has sold over 12.4 million units, having moved over 2.4 million in 2026 so far.
Detroit: Become Human was the second best-selling game on Steam during this period, moving 993,000 units.
The 2018 title received its deepest discount since 2020 from $40 to $4 as part of the Steam Winter Sale. Its revenue amounted to $3.2 million as a result, pushing the game over $150 million in Steam revenues and seven million copies sold over Christmas.
Going back to December as a whole, VGI data found that Battlefield 6 sold over 3.5 million units on all platforms for the entire month, while data from Alinea shows it sold 706,000 million copies between December 21 and January 5.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 moved an additional one million copies over Christmas, boosted by its sweep at The Game Awards.
Sandfall Interactive’s debut title was the biggest third-party launch on Xbox Game Pass this year, and as of October 8 has exceeded five million sales worldwide.
Focusing on PlayStation and Xbox specifically between December 21 and January 4, EA Sports FC 26 took the top spot of games ranked by new players with 1.7 million.
PS5 accounted for 73% of FC 26’s total player base according to Alinea, with Europe as the top market at 37%.
When launch-aligned with EA Sports FC 25, players for FC 26 were down 17%. The latest title had 13.8 million players in 110 days compared to the 16.6 million of its predecessor during the same period.
Over on Xbox, the top game by new players was Arc Raiders at 564,000, with FC 26 in fifth place at 286,000.
