Pitchify launches new service to connect developers and publishers

Online marketplace Pitchify has launched a new service to match developers with suitable publishers.

Pitch Direct enables developers to craft pitches with clear guidance on publishers’ requirements, including budgets and timelines.

The service intends to address uneven pitching dynamics by making criteria transparent, streamlining submissions, and increasing visibility so developers of all sizes receive fair consideration.

“As a developer, the publisher landscape can feel opaque and unpredictable,” said Altered Gene studio head Des Gayle. “It’s often hard to tell who is a good fit for our game and who isn’t.”

“Instead of sending pitches into the abyss to get ignored, we can target the publishers whose requirements genuinely match our game, giving us a much better shot of meaningful conversations, even if they are fast “no’s’.”

Pitch Direct currently has 15 open submissions from nine publishers, including Curve Games, Excalibur Games, Green Man Gaming, Kando Factory, Kwalee, Rainy Frog, Super Rare Games, Miniclip, and Team17.

“With Pitch Direct, Pitchify directly addresses the systemic imbalances in game funding,” said Pitchify co-founder Gina Jackson. “Access to publishers is too often shaped by informal networks, insider knowledge, and proximity, rather than merit.”

“By making publisher requirements transparent and replacing opaque email inbox pitching with a structured, criteria-led process, the platform shifts opportunity away from gatekeeping and towards fit and quality.

Jackson continued: “It creates fairer access for a broader and more diverse range of developers, ensuring that strong projects can be discovered on equal terms, regardless of background or connections, whilst supporting scouts to focus on analysis rather than admin.”
