CD Projekt sales rise 9% in 2025, driven by Cyberpunk franchise

CD Projekt has published its full-year financial results for 2025, reporting increases in both sales revenue and net profit as development continues its Witcher and Cyberpunk franchises.

Sales revenue reached 867 million PLN ($235.2 million), a 9% year-on-year increase. Cyberpunk was the main revenue driver, growing 12% over the previous year.

The franchise saw strong sales after the launch of Cyberpunk Ultimate Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 and the release of the base edition on PlayStation subscription services.

The Switch 2 edition significantly boosted the sales of its goods and materials segment, which saw a fivefold year-on-year increase driven by physical cartridge sales.

Net profit rose 33.7% to 594 million PLN ($161.4 million), up from 444.2 million PLN ($120.2 million) in 2024.

The company invested over 513 million PLN ($140 million) in future releases, focusing on The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2. The latter completed its conceptual phase in April 2025 and has now entered production.

Joint CEO Michał Nowakowski confirmed that CD Projekt Red Studio has started developing a video game based on its new IP, codenamed Hadar.

“Work on the project is progressing dynamically, and the team has established the foundations of this entirely new IP,” said Nowakowski.

“Now, we have clearly defined distinguishing features of this world, and established key pillars that will not only provide the foundation for the game itself, but also, potentially, for other future products.”

He continued: “This does not mean the end of work on IP itself, which will naturally continue to evolve and develop on many fronts over time. The team is now actively designing specific elements that might be included in the game.

“We are creating multiple prototypes and implementing them directly in Unreal Engine. This allows us to live test and verify how selected mechanics and gameplay elements can perform.”

The total number of developers increased from 707 in February 2025 to 933 in February 2026. Most are assigned to The Witcher 4 (499), followed by Cyberpunk 2 (149), Sirius (71), and Hadar (26).

In 2025, CD Projekt announced three major sales milestones: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt surpassed 60 million copies, Cyberpunk 2077 exceeded 35 million, and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty sold over 10 million copies.

In December, the company sold the GOG platform to co-founder Michał Kiciński for 90.7 million PLN ($25 million).

The transaction was fully financed externally. Kiciński remains the second-largest individual shareholder of CD Projekt Red, holding 10% of the firm’s shares.
