Organisers of this year’s Develop:Brighton conference have announced Ustwo Games as its first keynote speaker.
The studio’s CEO Maria Sayans, CCO Daniel Gray, and CDO Peter Pashley will discuss the developer’s 14-year history in a fireside chat titled ‘Ustwo Games: A Positively Playful Business’.
Known for developing the Monument Valley series, Alba: A Wildlife Adventure, and Desta: The Memories Between, the studio’s execs will explore “the origins of Ustwo and how they’ve made games with a lasting impact.”
Earlier this year, Ustwo announced it was shifting focus to PC to have a “more direct” relationship with its audience.
“This stems from a realisation that there is a ceiling to how much you can do on PC and console when you are perceived as a mobile-first game, and that you make compromises both in product design and go-to-market strategies when mobile is your lead platform,” said Sayans.
“The shift is that we now think as PC as the base, where we can build more direct relationships with our audience and community, and console and mobile as platforms that will give us reach.”
The first speakers for this year’s Develop conference were announced last month, including talks from Respawn Entertainment, PlayStation Studios, and EA’s Full Circle Studio.
Develop:Brighton 2026 will take place from July 14 to 16 at the Hilton Brighton Metropole.
