London Games Festival organisers have announced this year’s Ensemble exhibition cohort, spotlighting Black, Asian, and other underrepresented ethnic creatives in the UK games industry.

Now in its eighth year, the Ensemble initiative is curated by author and artistic director Sharna Jackson. It aims to “shift perceptions, amplify new voices, and inspire the next generation of diverse talent in games.”

Ensemble is led by Games London with support from the Mayor of London. The exhibition will be on display in Trafalgar Square on Monday, April 13.

This year’s eight-person cohort will be featured at New Game Plus on Thursday, April 16. The exhibition will then tour venues across the country.

This year’s cohort includes:

  • HaZ Dulull, game director, founder of Beyond the Pixels, and an indie game developer. He is also known for his credits across film, television, and games, including cinematics director for Dune Awakening, The Rap Game UK Fortnite Experience, and a Disney series. He has been featured by Epic Games and has received multiple Epic Mega Grants.
  • Charlie Webb, BAFTA-nominated and New York Game Critics’ Circle award-winning writer and narrative designer, with credits including Mafia 3, Civilisation 6, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and Gears of War: Judgement.
  • Charmie Kim, game lead at Supercell, is currently working on an unannounced project. Kim has a background in mobile, console, and social games and led the Beatstar team from initial pitch through launch and into live operations. She is also an advocate for collaborative leadership and women in the games industry.
  • Deanne Pierre-Pacquette, founder of global content creator agency Beyond, a content creator, Twitch Ambassador, and YouTube partner. Pierre-Pacquette is also the lead events organiser for community programme Link Up London.
  • Sara Veal, chair of GamesAid, founder of Huhbub, and community and culture producer. Veal’s career spans journalism, publishing, and games, with roles at Failbetter Games and Uplift Games. She was awarded the Unsung Hero Award at Game Dev Heroes 2025.
  • Harun Ali, indie developer, head of training at Limit Break, and a game development tutor. Ali’s credits include Lego Dimensions, Star Citizen, and Human Fall Flat 2. He is also the author of The Pocket Mentor for Video Game Testing (CRC).
  • Jennifer Estaris, creative director and founder of Estaris Works, a consultancy and game studio. She has held senior creative roles at Ustwo and Sybo, directing titles such as Monument Valley 3 and Subway Surfers.
  • Christopher White, managing director at Sharks Swim Backwards and games audio specialist. His credits include Jurassic World Aftermath, Funko Fusion, Phogs, and Kingdom Two Crowns. He previously led audio at 10:10 Games and worked on VR projects at Coatsink.

“I’m delighted to be once again curating another cohort of extremely bright, bold and brilliant talent across different roles in the UK games industry,” said Jackson. “Once again, we forefront the importance of a diverse industry by demonstrating its significance in the creation of rich and intoxicating worlds and experiences for everyone.

“Vibrant and essential work is being created by Black, Asian and minority ethnic talent in the UK’s games industry each and every day. That needs to be celebrated – and it’s imperative that talent is attracted, developed, and crucially retained by the sector. Not as a gesture, but as a fundamental requirement for building a stronger, more imaginative and more globally relevant industry.”
