Digital Bros. has acquired the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers IP from developer Chengdu Lingze Technology Co. Ltd (also known as Leenzee) for around $4.6 million.

The company – which published the soulslike game via subsidiary, 505 Games – championed Wuchang: Fallen Feathers’ one million sales, which it said had generated around $35.1 million in revenue, adding that the acquisition will “enhance the Group’s ability to make timely decisions regarding [the game’s] future development and related investments.”

“The Transaction secures full ownership of the IP for the Group, enabling full retention of the value generated throughout its lifecycle and eliminating any future royalty obligations to the developer,” Digital Bros. said in a press statement.

“The total consideration amounts to RMB 32 million (approximately Euro 4 million), that will be funded through the Group’s available credit lines.”

The firm added that it did not expect the acquisition “to have a significant impact on the business outlook for the current fiscal year previously disclosed to the market.”
