Sensor Tower has acquired mobile app intelligence firm AppMagic for an undisclosed amount.
AppMagic, similar to Sensor Tower, provides estimates of mobile game and app revenue, downloads, and regional market data.
The acquisition will enhance Sensor Tower’s new small and medium-sized business (SMB) offerings and broaden data access for mobile studios and independent developers.
Sensor Tower stated that integrating AppMagic will strengthen its platform by expanding coverage of PC, console, and mobile data, as well as Live Ops Intelligence.
This acquisition follows Sensor Tower’s 2024 purchase of mobile marketing firm Data.ai, which reportedly resulted in layoffs affecting 200 employees.
“We look forward to bringing together the AppMagic and Sensor Tower teams, technology, and products to deliver an SMB offering that will support all stages of the mobile app and gaming ecosystem,” said Sensor Tower CEO and co-founder Oliver Yeh.
AppMagic CEO and founder Max Samorukov added: “Joining Sensor Tower opens up a new level of capability for AppMagic’s users. Our customers will now be introduced to richer data and a broader view of the market than ever before.
“For anyone trying to understand where the market is moving and how to grow within it, this is a meaningful step forward.”
