Liz Prince, veteran business manager at gaming recruitment specialist Amiqus, has been awarded an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours list for services to the Games Industry and Diversity.
A recruitment professional of 30 years standing, over 20 of which have been spent at Amiqus, Prince has been a staunch advocate for improving conditions and equality in the UK industry. She launched G Into Gaming in 2018, an initiative created to recognise women working in games and highlight those helping to create more inclusive workplaces, and co-founded Empower Up with Dom Shaw and UKIE to provide resources on equity, diversity, inclusion, hiring, leadership and workplace culture for employers in the sector.
She’s also a long-standing supporter of the GamesIndustry.biz HR Summit and the GamesIndustry.biz Best Places To Work Awards, which share insights and best practices for HR professionals in the space.
“I am incredibly honoured to receive this recognition,” said Prince. “The games industry has been a huge part of my working life, and I care deeply about the people and businesses within it. This honour reflects work that has always been collaborative. G Into Gaming, Empower Up and the wider conversations around diversity and inclusion in games have involved so many people who have given their time, voices, ideas and support.”

Prince joins head of Games London Michael French, who was awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours, and Rebellion co-founders Chris and Jason Kingsley who were awarded CBEs in 2024.
