MTG Marvel Super Heroes Most Valuable Cards Price Guide

Magic’s new Marvel set had a bit of an uphill struggle after the Spider-Man set felt a bit disappointing last year, but Marvel Super Heroes looks to be off to a great start with early buzz around its Commander decks and prerelease.

As ever, there are some high-value cards in the set, and if you’ve already secured your packs, these are the cards you’ll be looking for.

At the time of writing, the set has only just launched, so prices are all over the place. Take these prices more as a guideline than a guarantee.

We’ll update this guide in the coming days with any movers and shakers. It’s also worth stressing that you’re infinitely more likely to get one of these cards in a Collector Booster than a Play Booster, which is why they cost so much.

The Most Valuable Magic: The Gathering Marvel Super Heroes Cards

10: Jennifer Walters (Borderless) – $60

The first card on this list is She-Hulk, and while it’s already dropped since launch day, it’s still worth around $60.

Jennifer Walters prevents opponents from casting spells during your turn, while She-Hulk is a 6/6 with reach and trample. The latter also turns damage back on your opponents once per turn.

9: The Mind Stone – $67

After the Soul Stone in the Spider-Man set, The Mind Stone arrives and is predictably powerful.

An indestructible artifact, it adds one white mana or can be harnessed. That means at the beginning of your end step, you can exile up to one other target nonland permanent you control, and then return that card to the battlefield.

8: Captain America, Super-Soldier (Borderless) – $73

Another comic cover, Captain America, Super-Soldier, looks awesome with this treatment and is bursting with color.

This three-cost 3/2 gives your heroes hexproof as long as he has a shield counter on him, and he has first strike, too.

7: Tony Stark (Borderless) – $82

Look, I get it’s a comic cover card for The Invincible Iron Man, but that does not look like a comfortable position to stand in.

In any case, this card is over $80. Tony Stark is a 1/3 that lets you pull Artifacts for your hand, while Iron Man puts them onto the battlefield and attaches Equipment to himself.

6: Bruce Banner (Borderless) – $86

Just a few dollars more than Tony Stark, Bruce Banner is a 1/1 with card draw, but his Hulk form gets more powerful as it takes damage and nets you additional combat phases.

Oh, and he’s an 8/8 to begin with – “Hulk Smash” indeed.

5: Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu (Borderless) – $90

Breaking the $90 mark is Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu, a two-cost 2/2 that gives you haste on activated abilities.

Shang-Chi also taps for two mana of any one color to activate those abilities.

4: Ultron, Artificial Malevolence (Borderless) – $105

Ultron, Artificial Malevolence, is our first villain on this list, and the comic-style artwork is awesome here. Ultron lets you create copies of nontoken artifacts that are also 2/2 robot creatures.

Ultron is sitting at around $105, but is dropping.

3: Doctor Doom (Borderless) – $145

Doctor Doom (Borderless) sees a bit of a jump in value, with the big bad of Avengers Doomsday hitting almost $150.

When Doom enters the battlefield, he creates a pair of Doombot artifact creatures. As long as you have an artifact creature, Doom himself is indestructible. You draw a card at the beginning of your end step in exchange for losing one life.

2: Thanos, The Mad Titan (Borderless) – $240

Another big price climb, Thanos, the Mad Titan, is the first card on this list with the Power-Up mechanic attached.

Thanos himself is a 4/4 with Deathtouch and Lifelink, but with his Power-Up, he gets two +1/+1 counters and can destroy each other creature with an odd or even mana value, “Snap” style.

1: The Mind Stone (Borderless) – $1,550

Another appearance from The Mind Stone, this one is functionally the same as the other on this list, but has an awesome Thanos treatment.

It’s selling for almost $1,500 right now, but expect the much rarer showcase version to sell for even more when it surfaces.
