Nintendo has announced a partnership with Hasbro that will result in new The Legend of Zelda toys launching the same year as the live-action movie.

The two entities revealed their plans to bring Hyrule to toy aisles everywhere today. Even with so many potential corners of The Legend of Zelda timeline to pull from, there was not, unfortunately, any word on which characters or locations will be featured.

That said, this “multi-year collaboration” between Nintendo and Hasbro will begin in 2027. With a reveal for “three six-inch scale figures” set to arrive at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 as The Legend of Zelda movie barrels toward its April 30, 2027, release date, many are hoping the next look at live-action Link, Zelda, and maybe even someone like Ganondorf could arrive as soon as next week.

“For decades, The Legend of Zelda franchise has captivated fans through its deep lore, unforgettable characters and enduring sense of discovery,” Hasbro president of toys and board games Billy Lagor said in a statement. “By combining Nintendo’s iconic storytelling with Hasbro’s leadership in action and role-play, we’re delivering toys that invite fans to play, explore and forge their own epic adventures.”

Nintendo has been shy when it comes to showing off what director Wes Ball has been cooking behind the scenes. The company wasn’t ready to formally announce who would actually play Link (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) and Zelda (Bo Bragason) until mid-2025 – almost two years after the movie was announced.

Filming began in New Zealand in November of that same year and is said to have wrapped this past April. Production resulted in the reveal of both official and unofficial set photos, with the latter showing off a third character – who many believe is Impa – played by Severance star Dichen Lachman. All of that said, it’s clear fans will take any update they can get their hands on.

Could Hasbro soon give us a new look at the live-action The Legend of Zelda movie, or will the SDCC reveal show off toys for a different corner of Nintendo’s fantasy universe? As the franchise celebrates its 40th anniversary, and with the Ocarina of Time remake due out later this year, it’s hard to say which era the toy reveal will focus on.

We’ll know more about what the company has to say next week. In the meantime, you can read everything we know about the film while we wait for a trailer. You can also check out artwork for the movie’s Master Sword.
