Good news, Halo fans: Halo: Campaign Evolved is now available. If you simply can’t wait to spend your summer days absorbed in this remake, you can secure a copy today.

A Standard Edition, Premium Edition, and Collector’s Edition are all available to check out right now, and it’s not just Xbox users that get to drop some cash on this release. The game is also coming to PlayStation 5, alongside PC, so everyone can step into Master Chief’s shoes this summer.

For those interested in the Standard Edition of Halo: Campaign Evolved, this is priced at $49.99 and is available in a physical format or as a digital copy.

It comes with the full game – featuring the original 10-mission campaign and the newly revealed Operation: METEORITE – alongside a preorder bonus of the Foundry Armory Pack, which we’ve broken down in more detail below.

Halo: Campaign Evolved’s Premium Edition, which appears to only be available as a digital version, is priced at $69.99. This comes with quite a few bonuses alongside the full game and preorder bonus, including:

  • Up to five days of early access beginning July 23 (now redundant)
  • The Alpha Halo Armory Pack
  • A Digital Story & Art Collection that includes Halo: Hungry Buzzards – Per Xbox Wire, it’s “a new digital short story by Troy Denning that leads into the events of Operation: METEORITE”
  • The Art of Halo: Campaign Evolved digital artbook
  • A digital game manual inspired by the original 2001 Halo: Combat Evolved game manual

Halo: Campaign Evolved – Collector’s Edition

The Halo: Campaign Evolved Collector’s Edition looks like quite the pick-up. For $199.99, you get everything in the Premium Edition alongside:

  • Light-up LED Cortana chip
  • A Steelbook
  • Three original concept art prints
  • Physical version of the reimagined game manual
  • A game disc for Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 consoles (the Steam version includes a code only)

Halo: Campaign Evolved Preorder Bonus

Any edition of Halo: Campaign Evolved that you preorder will come with a bonus of the Foundry Armory Pack, which you can get a closer look at in the image above. This comes with:

  • Classic 2001 Mark V Armor skin
  • Classic 2001 Assault Rifle skin
  • Gilded Onyx Armor style
  • Gilded Onyx Assault Rifle style

What Is Halo: Campaign Evolved?

Halo: Campaign Evolved is an Unreal Engine 5 remake of 2001’s Halo: Combat Evolved. It features the original 10-mission campaign alongside something new that was revealed during the most recent Xbox Games Showcase: Operation: METEORITE.

According to an Xbox Wire post from Brian Jarrard, Community Director at Halo Studios, “Included with every edition of Halo: Campaign Evolved, Operation: METEORITE is a new three-mission story arc that takes place a year before the events of the first game. Featuring the Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson, this new adventure sends players behind enemy lines in a clandestine UNSC operation aboard a Covenant research vessel.”

IGN’s Ryan McCaffrey was also able to play a bit of Halo: Campaign Evolved last year and wrote in a preview, “I’m still left with many unanswered questions about this remake project. But to Halo Studios’ credit, this early demo did answer a couple of key ones about how good it could look and how Halo-y it could feel.”
