GTA 6 Fans Think They Found Jason and Lucia’s Vice City Apartment in Real Life

Grand Theft Auto 6 fans think they’ve spotted the real-life inspiration for Jason and Lucia’s Vice City apartment – but don’t expect to ever visit it yourself.

Grand Theft Auto players have proven time and time again that they will go to the ends of the earth to learn the smallest details about Rockstar Games experiences, and that hasn’t changed for GTA 6. Just days after the big extended look presentation revealed Jason and Lucia’s apartment in Vice City, one watcher took it upon themselves to hunt down what appears to be the same apartment in real-life Miami.

Instagram user prettyboycuh was the first to publicly share the location, saying they started by using Google Maps to find a tall teal building that was first shown in last week’s gameplay trailer. They said “that was easy,” but when they used the Street View function to turn to where Jason and Lucia’s apartment should be, all they found was a patch of grass. Then, they turned back the clock.

They – and you can still see this for yourself, too – changed the map’s time period from March 2026 to April 2013, around four months before the launch of GTA 5, and voila, the apartment appeared. Rockstar hasn’t officially confirmed what was known as the Belmar Condominium to be the inspiration for the spot we see Jason and Lucia hanging out at in GTA 6, but the similarities are too difficult to ignore. It’s the same color, has the same fence, many of the buildings around it are the same, and we can even see the parking lot Jason pulled out of in the extended look. So, where’d it go?

IGN replicated prettyboycuh’s findings and can report that the building stuck around through 2017 before it was repainted from its salmon color to some darker grays. It shows up on Google Maps through 2022 before a 2024 recording shows that the Miami location completely vanished.

prettyboycuh took things one step further and found a report from the South Florida Business Journal stating that The Belmar Condo was sold for a total of $12 million in 2022. The same report stated the building was established in 1973 before it was eventually demolished sometime after the buyout. In other words, if you’re a GTA 6 fan looking to visit what could become one of the most recognizable locations in Jason and Lucia’s story, you’re out of luck.

Still, you can see the location through Google Maps to this day, and prettyboycuh discovered that Rockstar inadvertently gave fans more to gawk at, too. Archived Zillow listings show the developer was not only thorough when mapping the outside of the apartment but the inside, too. From the brief glimpses we see of Jason grabbing drinks from the fridge, watching TV, and failing to impress Lucia with his outfit choices, it looks like their apartment pretty closely matches the real-life inspiration.

GTA 6 gave fans about 27 minutes of in-game footage last Thursday, and if this is the length players are going to already, there’s no telling what the community will be like when the game actually launches. Previously, fans have (incorrectly) looked to the stars for hints, while others have taken things a bit too far. We’ll all be able to revisit Vice City when it launches November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Be sure to also learn about what GTA 6 won’t have at launch and the streamer who believes Rockstar designed a character based on himself. IGN recently got to learn a lot about the new Grand Theft Auto, but you can check out just 99 of our favorite details here. Our preview and interview are both also available for those looking to learn more.
