Amazon has brought back stock of the Pokémon TCG First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3, with the final entry in the collector-focused series currently available for $39.99.
That’s a particularly interesting price with Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days event just around the corner. The two-day shopping event kicks off October 6, so if you’re looking to pick up some Pokémon cards before the big sales event arrives, this is one worth keeping an eye on.
The First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3 is the final instalment in the series, rounding out the collection with nine starter Pokémon from Hoenn, Kalos, and Paldea. That means Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly are all represented, completing the full 27-Pokémon starter lineup across all three collections.

Considering the first two First Partner Illustration Collection boxes were regularly selling for $50 or more after launch, $39.99 isn’t a bad price if you’re still looking to pick up Series 3. The current market price has also been hovering around the mid-$30 range before shipping, so Amazon’s price is at least competitive with what you’ll find elsewhere.
Each Series 3 collection includes a Pokémon TCG promo pack containing three of nine possible illustration rare-style cards, two booster packs from the Pitch Black and Chaos Rising expansions, and an exclusive sticker sheet.
The bigger appeal here is obviously completing the collection. Series 1 covered Kanto, Sinnoh, and Alola, while Series 2 moved on to Johto, Unova, and Galar. Series 3 brings things full circle with Hoenn, Kalos, and Paldea, giving collectors the opportunity to pick up all 27 First Partner Pokémon across the three releases.

It’s also worth remembering that the original MSRP was just $14.99, so $39.99 is still considerably higher than what these were supposed to cost at launch. Pokémon TCG products have become notoriously difficult to find at MSRP, though, and these First Partner collections are no exception.
If you do buy from Amazon, make sure you’re getting the listing sold and shipped by Amazon rather than jumping on a cheaper third-party listing.
