As part of IGN Fan Fest 2026: Fall Edition, we are proud to reveal five brand-new screenshots of For the Stars, Snail Games USA’s upcoming space sandbox survival game that will have you exploring and settling planets, uncovering the secrets of alien civilizations, and much more.

The images, which you can see below, show off some of For The Stars’ different biomes, weapons, flora and fauna, vehicles, spaceships, and more. They also offer a glimpse into the multiplayer experience that allows friends to explore this universe together.

Players will be traveling from planet to planet and establishing outposts to upgrade their tech, studying alien artifacts and natural phenomena, and surviving any challenges that come their way in an effort to get more powerful and “explore further into the unknown.”

Speaking of outposts, players will need to balance the needs of each area with proper laboratories, factories, and living quarters. Spacecraft will also need to be upgraded, and they can be customized to make them unique and suited for any task ahead.

And yes, friends can come along for the ride. Collaborate on building projects, share different discoveries, and work together to overcome any obstacle. Furthermore, Snail Games USA teases that players can “choose to enter contested regions to fight other players for control of the galaxy.”
