Invincible VS Players Can’t Get Enough of Atom Eve’s ‘Thicc’ Casual Skin

Atom Eve got a Casual costume in Invincible VS and, to no one’s surprise, the show’s fanbase is going feral for it.

If you’re familiar with Invincible at all, you’ve probably seen some discourse online surrounding Atom Eve’s weight gain in the show and comics. We won’t spoil anything for you in this article, but it’s a byproduct of a major story beat in the source material, and her transformation is often looked on fondly by fans — if not outright preferred over her slimmer design.

The devs at Skybound Games have been hard at work developing new characters and costumes for Invincible VS, the show’s tie-in 3v3 tag fighting game, most recently unveiling Angstrom Levy as a playable character… but the big brainiac isn’t who’s got players talking right now.

Alongside this character, Skybound also released a few alternate costumes for its other characters, including a ‘casual’ outfit for Atom Eve. And while she’s certainly dressed down, it’s her weight gain that’s got the fanbase in a tizzy.

It’s safe to say that everyone’s pretty thirsty for this particular version of Eve, with one excited player writing, “We ALL copping Everyday Eve, right?”

“Invincible better be able to fight,” another joked.

“The people yearn for thicc Eve,” yet another said.

Still others are pleasantly surprised that the devs at Skybound chose to go in this direction for Eve’s alternate costumes, given that body diversity isn’t something seen very often for female characters in fighting games (though this is a trend that’s changing in more recent releases, with Marisa in Street Fighter 6 being a good example).

Invincible VS is leaning into the memes with its costumes and characters lately; Skybound also gave Mark a Duct-Tape Man costume (leaning into a ‘superhero costume’ he made in his childhood) and even including Agent Spider as a playable fighter, a character who’s basically a riff on Marvel’s Spider-Man, for all intents and purposes.

Invincible VS released earlier this year. IGN scored the game a seven out of 10, with our reviewer Mitchell Saltzman saying its “hard hitting and fast paced 3v3 tag fighting is a gust of fresh air, especially for those who miss the two-way interactable combo system of Killer Instinct.”

The next season of Invincible is scheduled to release on Prime Video in early 2027. The show has been renewed for a sixth season, as well, becoming the platform’s longest-running animated series to date.
