A final trailer for the canceled game, Transformers: Reactivate, has leaked online, giving fans the closest look at what the completed project might’ve looked like.
Transformers: Reactivate, a third-person online action game made by developer Splash Damage, was first revealed at the 2022 Game Awards. The title faced major delays after its big reveal and was eventually canned in January 2025, with Splash Damage undergoing several rounds of layoffs in the nearly two years since then.
Just a day after the project was put to bed, gameplay footage from the highly-anticipated title leaked online, showing Bumblebee blasting enemies and traversing terrain in his vehicle form.
It’s been more than a year since this footage found its way on social media, but in a miraculous turn of events, one fan has managed to uncover a final trailer for the game with what seems to be the most complete build we’ve seen thus far.
The trailer was uploaded to X/Twitter on October 26, 2026 by a user named ‘Nem – TFR Archives’ who, by their own admission, preserves Transformers: Reactive content because they “need to cope somehow.”
Preceding the footage is a message from Nem, which speculates that the trailer was created as an investment pitch to other publishers that “ultimately failed.” What’s more, this trailer shows off what appears to be a fully-fledged campaign, with Nem saying the project shifted from a purely free-to-play online experience to a title with much more single-player content and optional online co-op.
The trailer shows Optimus Prime (seemingly not voiced by Peter Cullen, with users speculating he is instead played by Jon Bailey, who has also given voice to several Transformers characters in the past, including Optimus), saying that the Legion has invaded the galaxy and that it’s up to the Autobots to seek them out and prevent further destruction.
Footage shows Optimus, Bumblebee, and Iron Hide navigating rough terrain as they fend off the Legion, eventually teaming up with the Decepticons to purge the galaxy of this mutual enemy. It seems Megatron was a recruitable and playable character, who used a whip-like appendage, as well as a gun, to take down his foes.
Given what we’ve seen thus far, it’s even more of a travesty that this game was canceled. Transformers fans almost had something amazing on their hands, with an intriguing story, stunningly realistic visuals, and what appeared to be robust gameplay that utilized both Autobots and Decepticons.
Here it is the final trailer of transformers reactivate their latest version of the game. as you see totally different from what y’all ever seen. Nem is currently making a documentary about this failed project and is urging anyone with information and willing to share their story to reach out to them at a proton email linked in their bio.
Transformers: Reactive is far from the only painful cancellation to happen in the gaming space; the next Mass Effect game was also canned by EA, which shut down BioWare as part of its shift in strategy, leaving fans brokenhearted and doing everything they can to get the title out of limbo and into the hands of another developer.
