Sony Santa Monica Studios’ God of War Ragnarok tops the list of highest-grossing PlayStation Studios games of the PS5 generation, according to Alinea Analytics.

The game data company’s head of market analysis, Rhys Elliott, shared information related to sales for titles published under the PlayStation banner in a Substack post today. It features a list of 10 games estimated to have emerged as Sony’s best performers so far.

You can probably guess at least some of the games that managed to crack the top 10 list, but there are a few interesting inclusions in there, too. God of War Ragnarok, for example, is placed at number one with an estimated $1.4 billion in gross revenue. Spider-Man 2 is second at $1.3 billion, with Gran Turismo 7 placed third at $841.9 million. You can see the full list below.

Here’s the 10 top-grossing PlayStation Studios games of this generation (@alineaanalytics estimates).

Together, the 10 games generated over $6.5 billion across PlayStation (84.7%), Steam (14.1%), and Xbox (1.2% via just Helldivers 2).

PlayStation Studios’ Top 10 Highest-Grossing PS5 Games, According to Alinea Analytics

1. God of War Ragnarok – $1.4 billion

2. Spider-Man 2 – $1.3 billion

3. Gran Turismo 7 – $841.9 million

4. Helldivers 2 – $786.3 million

5. Horizon Forbidden West – $485.8 million

6. Ghost of Yōtei – $410.1 million

7. The Last of Us Part 1 – $341.3 million

8. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart – $334.9 million

9. Stellar Blade – $316.9 million

10. Astro Bot – $292.6 million

These 10 games alone have generated $6.5 billion for PlayStation. Although the list only includes titles from the PS5 generation, the numbers here do account for other platforms. Astro Bot, for example, is exclusive to PS5 and earned its amount only through the estimated 4.7 million copies it sold on that platform.

God of War Ragnarok, meanwhile, is also available on PS4 and PC, with Alinea Analytics’ breakdown showing its revenue accumulated via 21.6 million copies across all three platforms. Of its performance on PlayStation, 75.2% of its 20.1 million share of copies sold were on PS5, specifically, with 27.5% of all sales on PS4 and PS5 being physical. Elliott called the Norse God of War sequel an evergreen title for Sony, explaining that in 2026 alone it’s managed to sell 1.1 million copies. That’s an impressive feat compared even to brand-new games from this year, and it’s only more impressive when you consider that it was made accessible to PlayStation Extra subscribers nearly two years ago in January of 2025. Alinea Analytics estimates show that 6.7 million PlayStation Plus users have accessed it via the service.

PS5 Digital Console 30th Anniversary Limited Edition

Ghost of Yōtei may have technically been trailing behind its predecessor as of October, but at least for now, its recent Echoes of Sekigahara expansion has helped it land in sixth. As of today’s update, it’s said to have sold 5.5 million copies as a PS5 exclusive. Another interesting addition from the list is Stellar Blade, which is technically a second-party release published by PlayStation Studios. Today’s data accounts for sales across PS5 and Steam (a Nintendo Switch 2 version launched yesterday) and shows that 59.7% of its revenue was earned from the former and 40.3% from the latter.

Alinea Analytics’ breakdown is not an official look into where sales are at with Sony’s gaming division. Meanwhile, its update follows official information released by the PlayStation company just earlier this week. It came with the news that it had raised its sales forecast while also sharing figures for Marvel’s Wolverine for the first time. For more, you can see how PlayStation’s Bloodborne has held up in the 11 years since its launch on PS4.
