Silent Hill f has been announced for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with an as-yet-unannounced release date. The game takes place in 1960s Japan, where it will present players with “a beautiful yet terrifying choice.” In the trailer, we see hero Shimizu Hinako encounter the franchise’s famous fog, along with various terrors, as they descent upon the town. In an unusual move for a AAA game, no special or deluxe editions have been announced for Silent Hill f. The standard edition is the only choice, which I find kind of refreshing, actually.

What is Silent Hill f?
Silent Hill f is a new installment in the long-running franchise that’s set in 1960s Japan, making it a good place for newcomers to the series to jump in. However, it’s not for the faint of heart: it contains gruesome scenes of violence and gore that won’t be appreciated by everyone. If you’re not a horror person, or you’re squeamish when you see platters of entrails, for instance, you may want to steer clear of this one.
