iPhone 16 was launched in India in September 2024 alongside the Plus, Pro and Pro Max variants. The base version is powered by a 3nm octa-core A18 chipset and is offered in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. At launch, the price of the vanilla iPhone 16 started at Rs. 79,900. You can now get the 128GB variant for as low as Rs. 69,500. Select online retailers are currently offering the handset at lower prices, and certain bank offers can help lower the price further.

iPhone 16 Price in India, Availability

The 128GB option of the iPhone 16 is currently listed on Amazon at Rs. 73,500, which is Rs. 6,400 lower than the launch price. Over and above this lowered rate, ICICI, Kotak and Axis Bank credit card users can get an instant Rs. 4,000 discount, bringing the effective price of iPhone 16 in the country down to Rs. 69,500. This offer is expected to last for a limited period.

Another e-commerce site, Flipkart, is also selling the iPhone 16 at a reduced rate over its launch price. The 128GB variant of the smartphone is priced at Rs. 74,900. Credit card users from select banks can enjoy an instant Rs. 4,000 discount over the lowered price, making the phone effectively available at Rs. 70,900.

iPhone 16 Specifications, Features

The iPhone 16 sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness, Ceramic Shield protection, and a Dynamic Island feature. It is powered by a 3nm octa-core A18 chipset, and it supports up to 512GB of onboard storage. The handset ships with iOS 18 out-of-the-box.

For optics, the iPhone 16 carries a 48-megapixel main sensor alongside a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera at the back and a 12-megapixel TrueDepth selfie shooter at the front. The ultrawide camera supports macro photography as well.

The base iPhone 16 comes with support for 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C connectivity. The handset has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
