Since launching in October, Battlefield 6 has become both the best-selling game of 2025 in the US and the biggest seller in the franchise’s history.

That’s according to data from Circana, which also reports that the title generated “the highest single month US physical and digital full game tracked dollar sales total in three years.”

The October sales volume of Battlefield 6 has also surpassed the lifetime sales total of Battlefield 1.

The immediate success of Battlefield 6, alongside mobile content and Switch 2 hardware sales, were the main drivers of a 3% increase in consumer spending to $4.9 billion in the US last month.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A came in at No.2 on the Top 20 best-selling games of October, also debuting as 2025’s best-selling physical game year-to-date.

Ghost of Yōtei came in third, moving up a spot from its No.4 debut. The Sucker Punch Productions title is the 10th best-selling game in the US so far, and ranked at No.3 on PlayStation’s individual year-to-date chart.

Looking at mobile, spending grew 10% last month with Gossip Harbour and Royal Kingdom both rising one place to No.8 and No.7 respectively.

“Gossip Harbor continues its seemingly inexorable growth that has characterised its entire lifespan, increasing US revenue 12% over September,” said Sam Aune of Sensor Tower.

“Clash Royale showed a small decline month over month, though its overall position is still around 4x where it was at the start of the year.”

Elsewhere, video game content revenue rose by 1% to $4.3 billion, while hardware revenue jumped 36% to $351 million driven by Nintendo Switch 2 sales.

The Switch 2 sold 328,000 units in October 2025, which is 68% ahead of original Switch sales.

Spending on ASUS PC Portable devices increased 4.8 times more than compared to a year ago, following the release of the Xbox ASUS ROG Ally which exceeded expectations.

Here are the top 20 selling games from the period October 5, 2025 to November 1, 2025, data courtesy of Circana:
