Gamescom 2026: Registered exhibitors up 15%, more than 40 countries taking part

Tickets for Gamescom 2026 are now on sale, and registered exhibitors have broken records for the third year in a row.

Companies from more than 40 countries are taking part in Gamescom 2026, a 15% increase over 2025.

Pavilions from 23 countries have been confirmed so far, including Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Korea, Malta, Morocco, the Netherlands, Portugal, Qatar, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Thailand, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

This year’s edition will not have an official partner country “in order to reflect Gamescom’s global character, international significance, and broad partnerships.”

Instead, organisers plan to introduce new formats and programs to give international partners “with enhanced exposure and greater networking opportunities.”

“As the co-organisers of Gamescom, we’re delighted that we’ve set a record at the end of the early-bird period for three years in succession,” said Koelnmesse GmbH COO Oliver Frese.

“This result underscores Gamescom’s unique role within the gaming industry and clearly shows why this event is a must-attend for the global gaming community. Achieving this best-ever result in the early-bird period is the perfect way to launch ticket sales. Gamescom 2026 promises to be a superlative experience for all visitors.”

Tickets are now available for Gamescom Dev (August 24 to August 25) and Gamescom (August 26 to August 30). Tickets for Opening Night Live will go on sale at a later date.

There is also a new ticket category this year for trade visitors: the Gamescom Business Ticket.

Visitors can choose between a 5-day, 3-day, or 1-day ticket. All tickets include access to the business and entertainment areas as well as the online B2B platform Gamescom Biz.

The 5-day ticket also provides entry to Gamescom Dev, determined by category (Basic, Content, Trade, VIP, or Student). Early-bird pricing for these tickets is available through March 31, 2026.

“As the representatives of the German games industry, we’re proud that we get to stage this unique event and welcome visitors from across the world,” said German Games Industry Association (Game) managing director Felix Falk.

“This year, we’re making Gamescom Dev and Gamescom even more closely linked than ever before, and that’s something I’m really looking forward to. The developer community is the industry’s beating heart of creativity, and it is only right that our developer conference should kick off the Gamescom week.”

Attendance at Gamescom 2025 reached 357,000 visitors from 128 countries, a 6.5% year-over-year increase. There were more than 34,000 trade visitors and 1,568 exhibitors.
