Ghost Town wins Game of the Year at 2025 TIGA Awards

Fireproof Games’ Ghost Town took home two accolades at the 2025 TIGA Awards last night, including Best Puzzle Game and Game of the Year.

Secret Mode received two awards for Still Wakes the Deep: Siren’s Rest in the Creativity in Games and Best Visual Design categories.

Sony Interactive Entertainment also took home awards, with Astro Bot being recognised as Best Arcade Game while Death Stranding 2: On the Beach won Best Social Game.

Playground Games’ Forza Horizon 5 received the award for Best Audio Design, while the studio was honoured with the Commitment to Workplace Wellbeing Award.

Looking further at the business categories, Dlala Studios won Best Small Studio, Steel City Interactive won Best Large Studio, and Dovetail Games was recognised as Best Publisher.

There were two individual recognitions, with Side CEO Deborah Kirkham receiving the Outstanding Leadership Award and Slitherine Software CEO Iain McNeil winning the Outstanding Individual of the Year Award.

The awards showcase the creativity, innovation, and talent within the UK games sector, and are organised by trade body TIGA.
