Supergiant Games’ Hades 2 is leaving early access on September 25, 2025, launching as a timed console exclusive on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
Announced during the Nintendo Direct last week, the game will also have a physical release on November 20. This edition will work on both the original Switch family and the Switch 2, and will retail at $50.
The digital version of Hades 2, available on Switch and PC, will cost $30. It also features an upgrade pack for free.
Supergiant Games’ have confirmed that Hades 2 will offer cross-saves on the Switch and Switch 2 versions as well as the Steam and Epic Game Store versions.
Early access players will be able to transfer their save data from PC to Switch via an in-game menu.
“Hades 2 is our team’s first-ever sequel, and we’ve been giving it everything we’ve got for more than four and a half years,” the developer said.
“Since May 2024, we’ve been developing in early access, taking feedback from our player community to try and fully realise this game’s potential. The result is the biggest game we’ve ever made, and one we hope you’ll find a worthy successor to its namesake.”
As for when Hades 2 will be available on PlayStation and Xbox, the original game launched on these consoles 11 months after the Switch.
If Supergiant Games follows this trajectory, an August 2026 release window is likely.
