Ukrainian mobile developer Burny Games has announced it is branching out into publishing.
The company said the expansion into publishing “strengthens the studio’s ability to test new formats faster, grow its portfolio, and support promising teams across the industry”.
Its debut partner title, Colorwood Associations – a word-grouping puzzle game – was developed with Infinity Games.
“Ukraine has only a handful of product-driven studios and even fewer publishers,” the company said in a press release. “Burny aims to shift that landscape by pairing strong internal development with a selective publishing model, creating opportunities for new teams and new games.”
Burny currently employs 130+ “specialists”, “with plans to hire around ten more by year-end” and further expansion in 2026.
“We’re not interested in pumping out a hundred prototypes a year,” said Burny Games CEO Anatolii Henis. “We focus on only the ideas we genuinely believe in and go all-in on them.”
