Taiwan-based publisher Neon Doctrine will merge into its sister company Raw Fury “as part of broader restructuring.”
The company’s co-founder Iain Garner shared the news on LinkedIn, where he also announced he would be stepping down as CEO citing personal reasons.
Neon Doctrine’s catalogue of titles will be managed by Raw Fury as part of the decision.
“Over the past 10 years, Neon Doctrine has grown from three people working out of my kitchen in China to becoming a global publisher, supporting more than 30 incredible games and collaborating with talented developers around the world,” wrote Garner.
“I’m proud of what we’ve built together and deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey.”
He added: “While this marks the end of Neon Doctrine in its current form, I know our games are in excellent hands with Raw Fury and will continue to thrive as part of their ecosystem.”
Neon Doctrine co-founder and CCO Vlad Tsõpljak will also be leaving the publisher.
“This wasn’t a decision taken lightly by either of us. After long, deep discussions, Iain and I concluded this was the best path forward,” wrote Tsõpljak in a separate post.
“it ensures the games we poured our hearts (and youth) into are supported, celebrated, and will continue to thrive for years to come.”
Neon Doctrine was founded in 2015, and is owned by parent company Combined Effect.
