The online co-operative game RV There Yet? has sold 1.3 million units on Steam since its launch on October 21, much to the surprise of the studio behind it, Nuggets Entertainment.
Jace Varlet, community manager at Nuggets, uploaded a YouTube video yesterday in which he explained that when he went to bed, the game had sold 1 million copies, and when he woke up, it was nearer 1.3 million. “The game has blown up way bigger than anything we expected,” he said.
RV There Yet? is the first game from Nuggets Entertainment, which is based in Skövde in Sweden. The studio is also working on a first-person farming farming game called Among the Wild, which it revealed last year.

RV There Yet? sees players being forced to take a route through the back country when returning from a holiday in their recreational vehicle (RV). Players must work together to overcome obstacles on the route, using winches on the front and rear of the RV to manoeuvre it out of difficult situations.
Players can also smoke and drink, as well as use antidotes and EpiPens on each other, as they face creatures like snakes and bears.
According to Video Game Insights, 49% of players of RV There Yet? are based in Europe, while 26% are in North America. SteamDB’s stats show the game had a peak 24-hour concurrent player count of 96,985 players.
The chaotic cooperative gameplay echoes that of Peak from earlier this year, which also became a surprise hit, selling 1 million copies within six days of launch, and hitting a total of 9.7 million by mid-August. Like Peak, RV There Yet? Is being offered at a budget price – it’s currently selling at £6.02, discounted from £6.69.
