Aside from free shipping, Prime Video is the second-best perk that comes with an Amazon Prime subscription. This year, the streaming service delivered several strong installments to some of its biggest series like Reacher, Fallout, and Invincible — but it also premiered some great new shows and spinoffs to keep things fresh.

Here’s a list of the best shows and new seasons released on Prime Video in 2025.

Reacher is one of my favorite series on Amazon Prime Video, and the latest installment doesn’t disappoint. After winding up in Maine, Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) — the former military officer-turned-drifter — gets entangled in a DEA investigation, leading him to go undercover as the bodyguard for the son of Zachary Beck (Anthony Michael Hall), the owner of a rug import company involved in some shady business dealings.

Video game adaptations keep getting better, but even still, Fallout stands among the best. The first season introduced its trio of postapocalyptic heroes: vault dweller Lucy (Ella Purnell), conflicted Brotherhood of Steel knight Maximus (Aaron Moten), and a ghoul known as… the Ghoul (Walton Goggins). They’re still around in the new second season, but the show also expands its scope quite a bit, with a story that covers more of the world itself, while also diving deep into the past.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first switched on Hazbin Hotel, but after watching the first season, I was hooked. The second season is another strong entry into the musical series, with Charlie Morningstar (Erika Henningsen) and her dysfunctional group of friends working to revive the hotel after it was nearly destroyed by an attack from heaven. But things don’t stay peaceful for long, as the three Vs leading Hell’s entertainment industry plot to expand their control over the netherworld.

Bosch: Legacy debuted in 2022 as a follow-up to the original Bosch series, and it returned for its third and final season in March. During this final chapter, we see Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) take on the role of private investigator, all while contending with controversy surrounding the murder of his daughter’s kidnapper, Kurt Dockweiler (David Denman). At the same time, Bosch delves into the disappearance of the Gallagher family as Honey “Money” Chandler launches a campaign to become Los Angeles District Attorney.

If you’re disappointed that Bosch: Legacy has come to a close, Prime Video debuted a spinoff series in July. The show, called Ballard, stars Maggie Q as Detective Renée Ballard, the head of the LAPD’s new — and underfunded — cold case division. As Ballard and her team dust off old homicide investigations, she dredges up evidence of deep-seated corruption within the police department.

The third season of Invincible marks a major shift for our titular superhero, Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who steps into a new suit and a new role as the Earth’s defender. Throughout the season, Grayson trains even harder as he prepares for battle with the powerful, superhuman warriors from the Viltrum Empire, while continuing to wrestle with and distance himself from the influence of his father, Omni Man (J.K. Simmons).

Daniel Dae Kim stars as David Jung, a former spy who comes out of hiding to find his daughter, Rebecca (Reina Hardesty), who is working as an assassin in South Korea for a now-corrupt intelligence agency called Caddis. With his wife and small child in tow, David aims to pull Rebecca from Caddis’s clutch — but his ties to the organization put a target on the back of him and his family.

We still have to wait a few more months to see the final season of The Boys, but in the meantime, you might want to check out its spinoff, Gen V, which released its second season in September. Picking up after season 4 of The Boys, the series follows Marie (Jaz Sinclair) and her friends as they navigate a transformed Godolkin University — now a militarized training ground for supes — amid a world where Homelander has more control than ever.

If you’re a fan of the original Gundam series, Prime Video’s Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is a must-watch. It draws from the 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam show, taking place in an alternate universe where the militaristic Principality of Zeon is in control. The story follows Amate Yuzuriha (Thea Saccoliti/Tomoyo Kurosawa), a high-school student who becomes the pilot of the mobile suit prototype, GQuuuuuuX. Amate engages in a series of clan battles while fighting to protect her friend, a war refugee.

The Girlfriend is a six-episode series that’s easy to binge-watch. It stars Robin Wright as Laura, a wealthy mother who’s a bit too protective of her son and becomes overwhelmed with suspicion after meeting his charming new girlfriend, Cherry Laine (Olivia Cooke). As Laura becomes increasingly obsessed with uncovering Cherry’s true intentions — whether real or imagined — her fixation begins to strain her relationship with her son and fractures the rest of her family.
