The latest Magic: The Gathering set, Edge of Eternities, kicks off in pre-release today, but if you’re wondering which cards from the new set are worth keeping an eye out for, we’ve got you covered.

From spaceships to planets, this new sci-fi universe is a stark departure even in a year that’s included Aetherdrift, Tarkir, and Final Fantasy, and early impressions seem to be positive.

To clarify, these are the best-selling Edge of Eternities cards so far, thanks to data from TCGPlayer, but these aren’t competitive recommendations. We’ll likely have to see how the set shakes out over the next fortnight or so for that.

It’s also worth stressing that these are based on pre-launch prices, so expect major fluctuations.

With that covered, here are the best-selling Magic: The Gathering cards of Edge of Eternities so far.

Keep an eye out for these Edge of Eternities cards

Magic: The Gathering Thrumming Hivepool

0

Sliver deck fans, your time has come. Thrumming Hivepool is currently the best-selling card of Edge of Eternities according to TCGPlayer, with a price of around $20. It’s cheap if you have a bunch of Slivers handy, powers them up, and adds even more Slivers.

Cosmogoyf

Magic: The Gathering Cosmogoyf

4

That’s followed by Cosmogoyf, which gains power for the number of exiled cards you have, meaning it could get out of hand.

Terrasymbiosis

Magic: The Gathering Terrasymbiosis

0

Terrasymbiosis can only be used once per turn, but you can turn counters into card draw. It could be scary in the Counter Blitz Final Fantasy precon.

Tannuk, Memorial Ensign

Magic: The Gathering Tannuk, Memorial Ensign

0

Tannuk, Memorial Ensign is fourth on the best-sellers list, and is the only uncommon card you’ll find here. He’s an aggressive little blighter, dishing out damage when you drop land and potentially turning that to card advantage, too.

Singularity Rupture

Magic: The Gathering Singularity Rupture

0

Number 5 is Singularity Rupture, a board wipe and then some. It destroys all creatures, then mills half the deck of as many players as you choose.

Breeding Pool

Magic: The Gathering Breeding Pool

0

Breeding Pool is the first of two lands in the top 10, tapping for Green or Blue, but you’ll have to pay life if you don’t want it to enter tapped.

The Eternity Elevator

Magic: The Gathering The Eternity Elevator

0

It’s taken until number 7, but we finally have our first Spacecraft. These are part of a new mechanic, and can be usually used as your Commander. We’ve already got a list of some great candidates for that, and while The Eternity Elevator’s lack of combat stats mean it can’t, it’s basically just a big mana engine. Still, we can see the appeal in putting it in your deck.

Tezzeret, Cruel Captain

Magic: The Gathering Tezzeret, Cruel Captain

0

Tezzeret, Cruel Captain is up next, and he’s the only Planeswalker on this list. He’s all about using artifacts to power him up before spreading that love to creatures or finding even more of them.

Sacred Foundry

Magic: The Gathering Sacred Foundry

0

Sacred Foundry is the second land in the top 10, and is the Red/White option for the aforementioned Breeding Pool.

Exalted Sunborn

Magic: The Gathering Exalted Sunborn

0

Rounding out the top 10 most-purchased cards in Edge of Eternities is Exalted Sunborn, a flying Angel Wizard with lifelink that gives you a touch of the Doubling Season effect of double tokens. It can also be Warped, meaning you can cast it for less, exile it at the end of the turn, and then summon it back later.

So, there you have it, the most popular cards of Edge of Eternities so far. Which ones are you considering for your deck? Let us know!
