2024 was a solid year for Magic: The Gathering, but in all the excitement over Bloomburrow, some players missed out on Duskmourn.

The horror-themed set was pretty great, but its Commander Decks ran the gamut from ‘good’ to ‘painful for your opponents’. Why do I bring this up? Because Amazon has discounted a bundle containing all four by almost $100.

One Of These MTG Decks is Worth $150 Standalone

Let’s kick off with the outlier: Death Toll. It’s led by Winter, Cynical Opportunist, and it does a fairly good job of bringing cards out of the graveyard, but it isn’t perhaps the most exciting or unique precon.

There are some solid cards included, though, like Whip of Erebos and Reanimate, and it’s valued at around $40 on TCGplayer (keep that number in mind).

Depending on who you ask, Miracle Worker is one of the set’s better decks. It’s Enchantment-based, and your Commander, Animatou, Veil Piercer, reduces their cost drastically if it’s the first card drawn. Value according to TCGplayer? Around $50.

Next up, Jump Scare earned a place on the honorable mentions list of our precon picks. Is it the most powerful? Not really, but the unique theming of flipping cards face-up is too fun to ignore. It’s another deck worth around $40 according to TCGplayer, but Endless Punishment is the real big hitter.

This deck is still valued at around $145-$150 and shortens Commander matches by essentially dishing out heavy damage to every opponent at once. It made it to our list because it’s just so efficient at what it does, particularly with the House of Pain Commander.

That tallies up to around $275 in value across the four decks, but Amazon is offering them at $189. That’s essentially the value of Endless Punishment and one other deck, and you’re also getting a Collector Sample booster pack of two cards in each deck, too. It’s a great deal, particularly if you’re looking to build out a collection of decks quickly. I’d snap this up ASAP.
