A large chunk of the Throne and Liberty community is going to be focusing on the PvE sections of the game, as that really does make up a majority of what the experience has to offer. However, that doesn’t mean that there won’t be players who are looking to test themselves against others by diving into the PvP sections. These are designed to allow players the chance to test their characters and builds to see who can come out victorious in a fight. This includes some truly epic fights that can have hundreds of players all at once.
For players who are looking to get into the PvP of Throne and Liberty, will have to pay attention to two very important Traits in the game: Endurance and Evasion. These two Traits have their uses for the PvE sections as well, but they will definitely be more important for those looking to go against other people. It’s important to know just how these two Traits differ from one another, and exactly how a player should prioritize leveling one up over the other. In fact, it’s recommended to choose one over the other as it’s not viable to have a true hybrid character. That’s why this guide is here for those people who want to become the ultimate fighter over their fellow players.

Endurance
The first Trait to go over is Endurance, which relates to both Melee, Ranged, and Magic attacks in Throne and Liberty. In essence, Endurance is going to allow players to handle more hits on them when in a fight.
it will reduce the chance of being hit by a Critical Hit of a specific damage type. Its scaling is broken down by every 10 Endurance = 1% chance of reduction for every point over the opponent’s Critical Hit Chance.
Basically, if your opponent is using a Greatsword and has a Critical Hit Chance of 200, and the player’s Melee Endurance is at 300, that means they have 100 points over their opponent’s Critical Hit Chance. With how the scaling works, that means they would reduce their Critical Hit chances by 10010, which is 10%.
Evasion
While Endurance is all about allowing a character to get hit and reduce the damage it will do, Evasion aims to stop a player from being hit completely, hence why it’s called Evasion. It will reduce the odds of an opponent’s standard attacks landing on the player.
It scales at the same ratio that Endurance does of 10 Evasion points equaling 1% chance for Evasion. And just like with Endurance, Evasion can be applied to Melee, Ranged, and Magic attacks.

Which Trait Should Players Choose?
Both Endurance and Evasion offer some great benefits. Endurance is going to take out your opponents’ biggest hits, while Evasion can counter the basic attacks that can add up over time. However, there is a recommended way of leveling up.
At first, players should focus on Endurance when starting out in PvP, until they hit Tier 1 Gear Sets (purple gear) in the game. This can be boiled down to a lot of the early Gear Sets not having a lot of Evasion with them and players needing a lot of it to make it worthwhile. So, starting out with Endurance is the best option for players at first.
However, once they have reached the Tier 1 Gear Sets, they should switch to Evasion. It is at this point that there will be enough Evasion to make it worth it. Of course, that will take a good amount of time as Tier 1 Gear Sets can take some time to get to.
As previously mentioned, these two Traits aren’t going to do a lot of good for players in PvE except for anyone looking for a purely tank build. For PvE, players should focus more on things like Mana Regen, Cooldown Speed, and Movement Speed. But if a player is looking for some help with defense in PvE, they should go with Evasion as the bosses and enemies won’t be using too many Critical Hits so Endurance is kind of useless.
