Organisers of Gamescom Dev have announced the initial speakers and sessions for the upcoming conference in August.

More than 50 speakers have been confirmed for this year’s conference, including representatives from Sony Interactive Entertainment, Remedy Entertainment, Quantic Dream, Insomniac Games, Ubisoft, Housemarque, Bloober Team, CD Projekt Red, ZA/UM, and Epic Games.

The initial lineup includes:

  • Samuel Holley, lead gameplay engineer and designer at Sucker Punch Productions, will present ‘Clues and Camping in Ghost of Yōtei: Curating Guided Exploration Through a Non-Linear Open World’
  • Yiyi Zhang, director and founder of Gumbo Collective and Women in Games NYC, and Jyro Blade, co-founder of blAng Productions and head of gaming at Moku, will deliver the talk ‘Side-Stepping Into (or out of) Game Dev’
  • Mike Jungbluth, animation and realisation director at Compulsion Games, will discuss ‘South of Midnight: My Tales and Takeaways’
  • Noor Amin, senior game designer at Riot Games, will share insights on ‘Bringing Mayhem to ARAM: Effective R&D Processes for Game Modes’

Gamescom Dev will feature around 220 sessions led by 390 speakers. The full list of confirmed speakers can be found here.

Session formats include talks, keynotes, panel discussions, fireside chats, roundtables, and workshops.

Registered exhibitors for this year’s Gamescom set a new record for the third consecutive year, with companies from over 40 countries participating. This is a 15% increase over 2025.

Gamescom Dev was previously known as the Devcom Developer Conference. Organisers stated the change was made to “firmly integrate the event into the Gamescom brand family and strengthen its presence in the international game industry.”
