Marketing specialist Waverley Media is preparing to launch a redesigned website alongside a new social media outreach programme, creating additional opportunities for entrepreneurs and individuals with potentially marketable business concepts to connect with the company.
Founded more than a quarter of a century ago by entrepreneur Tim Lowe, Waverley Media says the project represents a new chapter for the business, opening up its expertise and commercial network to a broader section of the public.
The company has earned recognition for its niche marketing approach, helping to establish online businesses, side ventures and alternative earning opportunities in a range of sectors. Historically, much of its expansion has come through referrals and long-term relationships with existing clients.
Set for release in mid-June, the new website is designed to make it easier for people to access information and support when considering self-employment or developing a business idea. At the same time, a new social media campaign will encourage greater engagement and interaction with the public.
Lowe said the move reflects the company’s desire to become involved earlier in the development of new business concepts.
“We want people to feel comfortable reaching out through our website and social channels,” he said. “By opening up those conversations, we can help individuals evaluate whether their ideas have realistic commercial prospects.”
What began as a home-based enterprise has since developed into a multi-million-pound company focused on identifying and building niche business opportunities.
Waverley Media says its business model stands apart from conventional consultancy services because it is prepared to accept development risk on projects it chooses to support.
Lowe explained that ideas are reviewed and assessed before the company decides whether to commit its own time, expertise and resources.
“There are similarities to programmes such as Dragon’s Den because people bring ideas to us for consideration,” he said.
“However, the major distinction is that we are willing to invest our own resources and take on the commercial risk when we believe a concept has genuine potential.”
The company says it has helped individuals from diverse professional backgrounds launch online businesses, create additional income opportunities and build entirely new careers.
Waverley Media believes increased interest in flexible working arrangements, combined with economic uncertainty and changing employment trends, has encouraged more people to explore independent business opportunities.
As part of the expansion, the company intends to make communication and accessibility key priorities, giving more individuals the opportunity to discuss ideas and receive commercial guidance.
The relaunch is also expected to help identify innovative ideas and entrepreneurial talent that may exist outside established business networks.
According to Lowe, the decision to expand is the result of both growing market interest and his continued enthusiasm for developing new ventures.
“I am still as motivated as ever,” he said. “There are countless people with strong ideas who are looking for opportunities to create something for themselves. We want to make those connections easier to establish.”
Entering its next phase of development, Waverley Media says it will continue focusing on practical business growth while strengthening relationships with people seeking alternative paths into entrepreneurship.
