Amazon Has Secrets of Strixhaven Collector Boosters In Stock, But At What Cost?

Magic: The Gathering’s newest Secrets of Strixhaven set is actually fantastic, but if you’re looking for one of the most expensive cards in the set, Collector Boosters will be where you need to look.

The trouble is that these aren’t easy to find, because if the collectors don’t preorder them all, there’s a good chance scalpers will. It’s a real issue, and while Amazon has them in stock for those with plenty of cash, I want to preface this by saying they’re drastically marked up.

Collector Boosters Are In Stock At Amazon

Collector Boosters have an MSRP of $26.99 each, meaning a box of 12 packs is likely to set you back around $323.88.

They’re expensive because they’re packed with foils and alternative art treatments. That’s why they’re super popular for collectors, but also why they sell out rapidly.

Amazon has a box of 12 in stock, but they’re currently priced at $495.95. That’s almost $500 for just 12 packs.

That means each $26.99 pack is now $41.33, which is even more than a Universes Beyond Collector Booster – and those are already prohibitively expensive.

It’s not a great look, in truth: Not for Amazon, nor really for Wizards of the Coast, but it’s unlikely to change anytime soon, sadlly.

In better news, you can grab a box of Play Boosters for much less. A box of 30 packs is $148.87 at Amazon, reduced by 10% just a week after launch. Looking to build out your collection in one fell swoop? This is the way to do it and still be able to pay rent this month.
