Frank O’Connor and Brian Ulrich have joined Bit Bot as creative director and general manager, respectively. This strategic expansion positions the studio to scale its development capabilities.
As creative director, O’Connor brings expertise from his tenure as Halo franchise development director, as well as cross-media worldbuilding and franchise development.
Ulrich’s appointment leverages his leadership experience at key companies, including Nintendo, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Kixeye, and Realtime Worlds.
Bit Bot has also appointed advisors Brent Friedman (Star Wars, Halo), Tony Harman (Grand Theft Auto, Donkey Kong Country), and Wyeth Ridgway (Star Trek, South Park).
O’Connor stated that he is focused on leveraging Bit Bot’s small team structure “to help grow the studio and […] raise the quality bar for the portfolio of original and licensed projects Bit Bot has waiting in the wings.”
Bit Bot develops original and licensed games, comics, film, television, and collectables, collaborating with franchises such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Legacy of Kain.
With these appointments, Bit Bot aims to “enter its next phase of growth with a strengthened leadership team and a clear creative mandate” of bridging storytelling across interactive and linear media.
