The alleged GTA 6 leaker has released two further gameplay videos despite Rockstar owner Take-Two’s subpoenas requesting identifying information from Microsoft and Discord.

The ‘CyberLeek’ person or group released two new videos today, August 22, one showing more supercar gameplay and an armed robbery, the other strip club gameplay. The latter appears to taunt Take-Two and Rockstar by showing a snippet of a cutscene in which a character says they need to take “a leak.” This is the second cutscene to emerge this week, and there is growing concern that the leaker has access to a build of the game and may post significant story spoilers.

These new videos are the seventh and eighth to leak this week. And, like all the others, they advertise the ‘CyberLeek’ memecoin as part of what is widely considered to be a crypto scheme.

On August 20, Take-Two issued Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) subpoenas in a federal court requesting information from both Microsoft and Discord as part of its hunt for the leaker or leakers behind the recent spate of GTA 6 gameplay videos. Take-Two wants identifying information associated with user accounts that were members of a number of Discord servers, including one relating to Australian GTA content creator Matthew “Matt” Judge, aka DarkViperAU. Judge has denied any wrongdoing.

Meanwhile, Take-Two issued Github with a DMCA takedown notice on Wednesday, August 19, saying “the infringer is sharing the stolen content from our copyright.” The takedown notice added: “The entire repository must be completely disabled, there are no remedies to rectify this clear case of infringement.” Via the subpoenas, Take-Two wants to identify those responsible for posting the leaks on Github, as well as “all internal Microsoft business records and investigative records associated with Microsoft’s internal investigation of the ‘cyberleek’ persona sufficient to identify the user(s), person(s) and/or entity/ies associated with that persona.”

The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York granted the Microsoft subpoena on August 21. Last night, Xbox Chief Technical Officer Scott Van Vliet tweeted to address the situation, saying: “We are working closely with Take-Two and Rockstar Games to support efforts to protect creative works and intellectual property.”

Discord told Variety: “Discord sometimes receives subpoenas related to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We review and comply with valid subpoenas when we receive them, as is standard and routine for companies like ours.”

Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two have issued a statement. IGN has asked for comment.

According to Bloomberg, Rockstar still doesn’t know how these leaks happened, nor who is behind them. And while there are no plans to shift next week’s big Netflix reveal, Bloomberg reported that there is frustration and anger internally at recent events.

Undeterred, Netflix tweeted to tease Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look, which is set for Thursday, August 27, and will remain exclusive on the streaming platform for six hours before it makes its way to other platforms such as YouTube.

GTA 6 is due out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on November 19, 2026.
