Motorola Deal: Get a Free Smartwatch and Earbuds When You Buy a Razr

Foldable phones are gaining popularity, but their high prices keep most people from buying them. If you’re eager to try one but want to stay on budget, WIRED recommends the 2026 Motorola Razr as the best budget foldable. The flip-style phone starts at $800, comes with 256 GB of storage, and is unlocked for use with all US carriers.

Like most new phones, the latest Razr isn’t on sale yet, but Motorola is offering the Swarovski Edition Moto Buds 2 Plus earbuds and a Moto Watch—valued at $350—in this October deal. Motorola is also offering trade-in discounts on older devices. Together, these incentives could mean big savings even if the phone isn’t discounted. Motorola is also offering this deal on other 2026 phones we recommend, like the Moto G Power and the Razr Ultra.

To snag this deal, you’ll have to purchase the Razr directly from Motorola. The discount is applied automatically at checkout, so no code is needed. Any additional trade-in discounts will show up when you review your purchase.

If you’re a casual user looking to upgrade to a “smaller” phone, the compact Razr should be at the top of your short list. It’s not the most powerful option, like the Samsung Galaxy Fold8, Apple iPhone Duo, or even Motorola’s Razr Ultra, but it’s the best under $1,000.

But that doesn’t mean it lacks competency. It has a similar form factor to its Ultra sibling, including the same titanium-reinforced hinge and IP48 weather-resistant rating. For most people, the MediaTek chip inside delivers solid everyday performance, and the camera is surprisingly capable in normal lighting conditions. We like the battery life, but turn-offs include only three promised Android updates and so-so Motorola AI features.

The Moto Watch wouldn’t be our first pick for an Android smartwatch, but if you’re looking for a sleek wearable that accurately measures health metrics, it does the job. Plus, it’s included, so you can try it out at no cost (you can always upgrade later if you need a more capable smartwatch). The Moto Buds 2 Plus earbuds Motorola is adding to this deal feature Bose audio tuning. The Swarovski styling may not appeal to everyone, but hey, you can always regift it.

Motorola isn’t discounting the MSRP, but you can lower the price by trading in an eligible phone or device. For example, you can knock up to $250 or more off an iPhone. In our search, a Pixel 6 in good condition saves $35, while a Pixel 10 could save up to $290. We’re not sure whether the Razr is worth trading in a newer iPhone or premium Android phone, but you can still save money on an older device.
