During Essentia’s Fall Sale, you’ll get 20 percent off Essentia’s organic mattresses, which can add up to hundreds, if not a thousand, dollars in savings. Like Essentia’s other organic latex models, the WIRED-tested Tatami is GOLS Certified Organic, meets Beyond Organic standards, has a GOTS-certified removable cover, and is naturally allergy-friendly (because it uses no animal byproducts).
When testing, I liked that Essentia’s mattresses use a continuous semi-firm latex layer, so there’s no pillow-top or quilted batting that can form soft spots over time, and no place for allergens and dust mites to burrow. Plus, because it’s just one latex surface, there are no coils or springs, which helps isolate motion and reduces motion transfer when sleeping with a partner or pet. The GOTS-certified organic cotton cover protects the organic mattress beneath and is removable for easier cleaning, and the entire mattress is covered by an ultra-tough Kevlar fabric, which is one of the few nontoxic, allergy-free, fire-retardant options available today.
While I only tested the Tatami model above, these organic certifications apply to other models throughout Essentia’s organic mattress line. They are also available at 20 percent off, so be sure to check Essentia’s lineup to determine which healthy, organic bed model is best for you.
