Razer has acquired the assets of the cloud-based live streaming platform, StreamElements.
As this was an asset purchase and not a full company acquisition, Razer gets StreamElements’ technology, brand, and operations while Live Momentum stays on the hook for the business’s prior debts, including payments still owed to creators before the deal closed.
StreamElements provides tools including custom overlays, stream alerts, chatbots, tipping pages, and sponsorship management. Razer said tipping will continue as normal.
“Content creators and live streamers are an integral part of the Razer community, and they have been for a very long time,” said Razer co-founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan.
“StreamElements has built something millions of creators depend on every single day. Bringing them into the Razer family lets us double down on what we already do for creators.”
StreamElements co-founder and CEO Or Perry added: “Razer understands that creators have been embedded in this community for years, and they share the same obsession for getting it right.”
Razer said it plans deeper integration between StreamElements and its existing creator-focused products over time, including Razer Chroma, Razer Gold, and Razer Silver, and Razer ID.
Neither company disclosed the deal’s financial terms.
Tan recently said consumers do not want “generative AI slop” but do want tools that help studios make good games.
