The organisers of the Game Republic New Horizons conference have announced the first speakers to take to the stage in its Investor Zone.
There’s going to be a fireside chat with Tencent business development director Teddy Keefe, as well as a panel with The Game Angels’ Nick Button-Brown, Ansible’s Tracy McGarrigan, and Ian Masters of Flick Games, dubbed “Beyond the Pitch: Securing (and Surviving) Angel Investment”.
That’s on top of sessions with the Xbox – about bringing games to its platform – the BFI and Innovate UK, as well as other publishers and VC investors.
Games London will also be hosting a number of sessions at the show, in addition to bringing a cohort of international games investors on October 15.
“We’re assembling the best collection of investors and funders at the Investor Zone at GR New Horizons, along with our partner Games London,” Game Republic managing director Jamie Sefton said.
“This is a crucial time for the games industry where finance is front and centre for studios and so ensuring we have world-class investors and funders of games in one place is vital to help secure games companies’ future projects.”
Game Republic New Horizons is taking place at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough between October 14 and 16.
Today’s speaker announcement comes in the wake of Game Republic announcing that the father of PlayStation, Ken Kutaragi, will be delivering a keynote at the show, while Rebecca Lautner, chief business officer at Landfall – of Peak fame – will be speaking on stage with GamesIndustry.biz features editor Lewis Packwood.
