The Blood of Dawnwalker New Game Plus Confirmed

The Blood of Dawnwalker is indeed getting a new game plus mode in the future, according to the game’s director.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is one of the biggest games of September, and although it boasts a pretty lengthy story, fans are already looking for reasons to replay it. Director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz confirmed on a stream (via GamesRadar) that the game is getting a new game plus mode, but neglected to share any further details. We’re not sure when it will be released or what features it may include… but rest assured, it’s coming!

The Blood of Dawnwalker has a unique structure that may lend itself well to new game plus. The player has 30 in-game days to essentially complete the main goal of the story, which is to save the protagonist’s family. Time passes when you complete quests, so you have to be somewhat selective about what adventures you want to go on or risk wasting your limited days.

Similarly, upgrading skills can also advance time, meaning you can’t max out your character. However, if the game had new game plus, it might encourage players to replay the game over and over again until they’ve maxed out their character or completed every quest. It’s almost like a Groundhog Day situation, in theory.

Of course, this is only speculative. We have no idea how it will look, but the entire purpose of new game plus is to add replay value by allowing players to carry over gear, skills, and other buffs to new playthroughs of the game. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to find out, but if there’s anything we’ve learned about developer Rebel Wolves so far, it’s that it won’t dilly-dally.

The developer is already hiring for its next game, which is expected to be a sequel to The Blood of Dawnwalker, though potentially in a new setting and era. The studio foresees this as a franchise that spans centuries, so we should get some unique stories in future installments.
