Our The Blood of Dawnwalker IGN First series continues with another exclusive gameplay video, and this time we’re showcasing an entire quest from start to finish: Pearly and Precious. It’s a relatively short adventure, but one that introduces a brand new creature: a sanzhana, or “pixie”.

The video shows this quest being played during the day, which means protagonist Coen has access to his witchcraft rather than vampiric skills. You’ll get to see some magic in action, including the speed-enhancing spell and the offensive Ravenous Flock curse, which causes an eruption of spectral birds that damage all nearby foes. There’s also plenty of sword-on-sword duelling, as well as some poking around in the pockets (and mouths) of corpses.

While this is just a short errand, it sets up one of The Blood of Dawnwalker’s most interesting ideas. The fluttering little pixie encountered in this quest has something of great value to offer – we’ll reveal more about this powerful reward later this week.
