It’s a strategic cooperative board game that sees 2-5 players attempting to diffuse a bomb and cut the correct wires. There are a total of 66 different missions included, with increasing levels of difficulty. If you’ve ever played the video game Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, you should have an idea of what to expect.
All-in-all what makes Bomb Busters great is that it’s something anyone can play. It’s a great board game for families or to pull out with a small gathering of friends. Typical games will only take around 30 minutes to play, so you can quickly work together to diffuse a bomb and then move onto something else if you want.

While Bomb Busters won last year’s award, it’s worth pointing out that the runner-up is also an excellent game. It’s a fun and fast-paced card game with an incredibly affordable price tag. Similar to Bomb Busters, gameplay is quick and easy to learn. IGN gave it a 9 out of 10 in our review, calling it “an easy recommendation regardless of your experience with card games, the size of your collection, or even your age.”
