The Game Developer Association of India (GDAI) has announced the first cohort of its Supernova incubation program, selecting 15 studios from more than 260 applicants.

Launched in July 2026, the Supernova program grants selected studios mentorship, industry credits, and introductions to investors and publishers for three months, before giving the cohort the opportunity to present at a Demo Day during this year’s India Game Developers Conference (IGDC).

The program runs in partnership with Tencent, IVIPRO, SpielFabrique, Indus Appstore, Mintegral, and Lakshya Digital. Indus Appstore will give participating studios “priority onboarding and ad credits to kick-start user acquisition.”

“The selection of this inaugural cohort marks the beginning of a focused journey for these 15 studios,” said Rajan Navani, board member and chairperson of GDAI’s Incubation Subcommittee. “Over the next three months, Supernova will bring together mentors, technology partners, publishers and investors to help each studio address its specific development and business priorities.”

The selected studios are Absurd Games, Team Quasar, AbhiTech Games, Konkan Coast Studios, Dunali Games, Chitrakala Interactive, Ashdev Studios, Compiling Shaders, Brahman Studios, Yaari Games, Funwave Studio, Arcadon Games, Shivaansh Artvision, AnonVision Creative Labs, and Parkince.

GDAI represents more than 200 member studios and positions Supernova alongside its wider work on talent development, global outreach, and policy advocacy. It hopes to reach more than 25,000 students nationwide.
