Jobs roundup: June 2026 | Leadership changes at gaming service provider Side

It can be difficult keeping track of the various comings and goings in the games industry, which is why we compile them in semi-regular round-ups.

Leadership changes at Side

Olivier Deslandes has been promoted to COO at gaming service provider Side. Deslandes previously served as senior vice president for global strategy and growth and has been with the company since 2006, when he joined as head of localisation.

Martin McBride has been promoted to CCO after serving as global director for corporate affairs and chief of staff at PTW. Chris Donnelly is now senior audio director, and Matt Furmidge has been appointed director of localisation and localisation QA.

Side has also made three new appointments: Sijo Jose as chief services officer, Kaley Hurst as chief marketing officer, and Caroline McDonald as player support lead.

Lucy James leaves Gamespot

Lucy James has left her position as lead video producer and host at GameSpot to launch an independent weekly newsletter, lookingfor.game, on Player.gg. The newsletter highlights upcoming PC games and offers demo codes.

Daley Eve Johnson | Creative strategy lead, 33 Games

Daley Eve Johnson has been appointed creative strategy lead at 33 Games, after previously serving as senior community manager at Super Studios.

Celeste Valentine | Lead designer, Imprint Studios

Celeste Valentine has joined Imprint Studios as lead designer, following her previous role as senior game designer at D3T.

Eva Piatrushina | Game designer, Mojang Studios

Eva Piatrushina has been appointed game designer at Mojang Studios, after serving as live designer at Sharkmob and design owner at Wargaming.
