PlayStation fans had plenty of exciting announcements to take in during June’s State of Play. One of the bright spots was Rayman Legends Retold, which was officially announced alongside a release date of October 1 and news that preorders for it are now live.

If you can’t wait to get your hands on it, we’re here to help. Below, we’ve broken down which versions are available to preorder right now, how much they’re listed for, and what they come with.

As of the time of this writing, there are PS5 and Switch 2 physical copies available to preorder for $39.99. Digital and PC copies for the standard edition are priced the same. There’s also a digital only deluxe edition available to grab for slightly more at $49.99, which you can learn more about below.

The launch editions for physical PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 come with Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, the Glade of Dreams map, 3 lithographs, and the Hoodlum Havoc Pack preorder bonus alongside the base game.

A standard digital copy, on the other hand, comes with just Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition alongside the base game and the preorder bonus of the Hoodlum Havoc Pack.

According to Ubisoft, “Anyone who pre-orders any edition of the game will receive the Hoodlum Havoc pack.” This comes with two costumes for Rayman and Globox that are inspired by Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.

What Is Rayman Legends Retold?

Rayman Legends Retold is a re-imagining of Rayman Legends, which released back in 2013. It’s full of exciting new updates. Per Ubisoft, here’s what players can expect:

  • Stunning 3D visuals
  • A brand-new story
  • Fully voiced cinematics
  • A never-before-seen sixth realm
  • Four all-new musical stages
  • Thrilling dragon rides
  • New Cave of Trials challenges
  • Return of Kung Foot with improved controls and customizable rules
  • An expanded soundtrack from acclaimed composers Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope
  • New and improved gameplay

IGN’s Michael Higham recently got to play it, and he notes in his first preview that, “With the new content on top of it and the quality-of-life tweaks like a more navigable overworld to make it a smoother experience, I can see how it distinguishes itself to warrant a remake.”
